It’s another day on my abandoned island. I live on an island at the beach with clear blue water with a bunch of palm trees surrounding the whole island. There is usally a bunch of vibrant parrots flying around which is so pretty. The first thing I do when I wake up is make my bed of leaves and then go to the water with a pail to boil some fresh water by rubbing some rocks together and sticks to make a fire. Once the water is boiled i wait for it to cool so I could use a bit of it to wash my face and I leave the rest for later. I start off by finding some fish to grill so I can eat that day and if I don’t find any fishes I climb the tall coconut trees to get some coconuts to eat. After I finish eating I usually take a swim for about an hour to relax for a bit of the day. Once I get tired of swimming I usually go explore the forest to find something to do and by the time I get back it is usally getting late so I go back and get ready for bed. I make a fire pit to keep me warm while I am sleeping because it gets really cold during the night and I go to sleep. This is my day at an abandoned island.

BAN THIS BOOK 

I have not finished reading “BAN THIS BOOK ” By Alan GRATZ yet but I am currently on page 140.

“BAN THIS BOOK ” is About a fifth grader named Amy Anne That has a fever book that she has a special connection with, but something she would never have expected happened to her beloved book. Amy Annes friends Dan and Rebecca Help Amy Anne Make a band book locker that can be open to all the students because she didn’t think it was fair that the other students couldn’t read those books that got banned from the library. After her principal found out about her book, but does she stop? No.

I really like this book because I was reading the book every time I would read a page it would suck me in to keep reading because  I related to it a lot. I also think the plot of the story is very interesting and well written.

My favorite quote from the book is, “ I’ve read it like hundred times! But now it’s not on the shelf anymore, and it’s my favorite book!” This is my favorite quote because when I was in second grade, the same conflict happened to me with my favorite book that got banned from the library. This resulted me being sad a few weeks and then once I told my mom she bought me the book which relates to Amy Anne because when she told her parents about her favorite book that got banned in her library her parents automatically bought her book right after.

So it all started off at 6:00 am when my brother woke me up saying to hurry up and get ready to go off roading. I have known since a day before that we had to leave early but I still decided to put packing off until the last minute because I was really busy the day prior. Anyways I was rushed to pack and get ready but we headed out for a 1 hour and 30 min drive. It felt like an eternity to get there but I spent the whole time texting my cousin saying I was super excited to see her because  I haven’t seen her in what felt like an eternity.When I got there we almost got lost trying to find where the rest of my cousins and family were.  Once I got there I ran to my cousin to go say hi to her and everybody that was there already. It was really cold in the morning but through out the day it got more warm which was nice because I was shivering in the cold. All day we were just hanging out and riding quads and RZRS until my cousin brought out his electric motorbike. The second I saw it I was amazed it looked so cool and fast. I asked him if I could get on an the said yeah of course. I got on and everything was going perfect until I had to ride over some rocks but I wasn’t on the bike right and I turned it on and went to fast and I fell and the bike went off a bit. When I was walking the bike back I realized I had cuts all over my fingers, hands and legs. It hurt quite a lot but after that I learned a lesson to be more careful.

Between the two quotes Miss Moffat gave us I chose “We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” I choose this quote because often times a lot of people just skip the hard things and find something easier or cheat which isn’t going to get them anywhere because they aren’t trying something harder and working their brain. For me this quote means work harder now and have fun later, I think this basically sums up the quote. I relate to this quote because a few years back I wouldn’t really go for the hard things  and challenge myself so I would have to do the harder things in the end but now I handle the harder things first and then do the easier things after and it works out way better for me. I honestly really like this quote in general and its kinda hard to explain it but I relate to it.

Somebody I really admire is my older brother. My brother is the person I admire because ever since I was little he has always taught me what was right and what was wrong because he thought it was important that I would learn from a young age. Another reason I admire my brother is because when I was little I had bad grammar so I wouldn’t have bad language and speak wrong. I am glad my brother taught me all these things because without him I would know really important things at such a young age. Another reason on why my brother is my hero is because even though I am one of the younger cousin on my dads side of the family my brother always includes me anyway in most of the things they do and when they hang out. I see him as my hero because of this because when I was more younger and I would get invited much out I would feel sad because I wanted to be with them, so my brother inviting me changed my perspective on him. One last reason on why I think My brother is my hero is because I have had really long and meaningful talks with him that made me feel really good to let some things go. This is why I think my brother is my hero.

“ The summer I turned pretty”

This month I read a book called the “ The summer I turned pretty” by Jenny Han.

“ The summer I turned pretty” is about a girl that goes to her mom’s best friend’s beach house at the cousins every summer since she was little. Belly has been wanting Conrad for forever, but suddenly she saw Jeremiah in a different way which is belly’s best friend, but is also Conrad‘s brother, which made everything harder. Then out of nowhere Conrad and belly got feelings for each other. Will this summer change everything.

I like this book because ever since I first started reading “The summer I turned pretty” it hooked me into finish the book. I think you should read this book because it has a very good and interesting plot that the more you read the more you want to keep reading and finish the book. 

Jeremiah is my favorite character from the book because he is a very sweet and caring boy. In the book says “ he made it so hard not to leave him. When he was sweet like this, I remembered why I did. Used to love him. I mean. I remember everything” which basically shows how Jeremiah made belly feel loved.

My favorite quote from the book is “ Susannah wanted it to be some kind of perfect summer, where the parents were still together and everything was the way it had always been. Those kind of summers don’t exist anymore, I wanted to tell her.” this quote is meaningful to me because I just think it is a really nice quote. That means a lot because Susannah wanted something so bad but didn’t get it.

 

 

This year I want to focus and strive for success. I want to focus on success because when you always have success in your mind you are constantly working on achieving that goal since you are always thinking about that word and it will result in more success. Another reason on why I want to focus on this word is because I could work more harder in school and go above and beyond to strive for success. One last reason I would want to have success in 2025 is because I would be successful for school and therefore I would make my parents very happy that I am doing great in school. This is why I would want to choose success as my word for 2025.

I was told to step in as principal since Ms.Tanikawa is out sick today. The first thing I would do as a principal is give out free ice cream to the whole school because I know for sure most of my students would enjoy it and have a lot of fun. The second thing I would do is make sure that all classes are doing good so I would go and check up on them because it is a part of my duty as a principal. The third thing I would do if I was principal is get better food for the school like fast food that people like with a fruit or veggie because a lot of times students would prefer better foods. I would do a majority vote on the fast food each week Another thing I would do is add vending machines to our campus so people can buy snacks if they forgot there snacks because sometimes people aren’t as hungry for a bunch of food and they rather have snacks. The last and finally thing I would do is put an ice machine next to each water fountain because a lot of kids love ice with their water and they would prefer water better with ice. These are the things I would put if I were principal.

“Always and forever Lara Jean”

This month I read always and forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han.

“Always and forever Lara Jean” is about a young girl named Lara Jean that is with a popular guy from her school named Peter Kavinsky. She is a senior that has many big decisions and events to come like going to prom, class trip, and graduation. She plans on going to college with Peter because she doesn’t want to leave him and she doesn’t want to go to a college that is far away from her family. Her life right now is so perfect until she gets unexpected news that changes everything.

I really enjoyed this book because I feel like it gives a really great message on how if the love is meant to be it will all work out in the end. That’s why I like the book book because in “Always and forever Lara Jean” LJ ended up choosing to go to a different college from Peter, but they end up staying together despite the long distance.

My favorite character from the book has to be Peter LJ’s boyfriend because on page 59 it says, “this cookie is flat, chewy, dense…yours are better…” which shows how he is always supported towards Lara Jean and is always there for her so she won’t feel sad.

My favorite quote from the book is, “… just three words. I’m so sorry.” this quote was meaningful to me because even though it’s just three words, it really makes a huge difference on the mistakes you make because with a simple, I’m sorry can change a lot.

I am thankful for many things this year but my top three things that I am thankful for are my family, friends, and food. I am thankful for my family because they are always there to support me and they never give up on my for example my siblings always let me talk to them about all my problems and they help me with my homework and a whole bunch of other things. My parents always give me great advice and they also always help me with anything I need and they always make me feel loved. I am thankful for my friends because they make coming to school so much fun and they are always there for me whenever I need to talk to someone. My friends always mange to put a smile on my face. Every single time I hang out with my friends outside of school I always have a blast. I am thankful for being able to have food in my plate because some people cant have food and I get to have a home cooked meal every night that is made by my mom. I am thankful for being able to have food in my plate because without food I can get sick. My mom always works really hard to cook a meal everyday so I am very thankful. These are the three things I am thankful for.
